Comments: 442Rick, that book sounds really interesting to me. I love the time and culture of the 1920s and of course I'd be happy to hear Alan read the instructions on how to program the VCR. I'd like to hear more about it!
Comments: AR's Romeo and Juliet is available from Ambrose Video Publishing: http://www.ambrosevideo.com/displayitem.cfm?vid=548
What is your location? Los Angeles Comments: Apparently, because of the threat from Getty, certain websites are now requesting a password. Red Tango, if you're reading this, can I have the password to access your site, pretty please?
What is your location? South San Francisco, CA Comments: I wondered if anyone is interested in my downloading an audio book read by Our Boy, although someone may have already done so. (I searched the audio files and did not see it, although I did it very briefly, I should add). The book is "Blind Corner", and he recorded it in, perhaps, 1986. There is a very charming photo of him on the back of the cassette box. (he resembles my own father and one of my brothers, to my embarrassment...I suddenly realized there might be something buried deep within my psyche as to why I am so, er, interested in him. Hmmm. And both sides of my family are of English/Irish/Scots descent...but not just.) Anyway, I've kept this cassette set out in case someone might like me to forward it, or the picture, along. (I may tell the library I lost it. I like to listen to AR read to me when I am driving. And the story is good, too, although rather 1920's class-conscious, GB-class conscious, that is). Also someone apprised me of the fact that the whole "Romeo and Juliet" video is available on Ebay, but I have yet to find it. Perhaps just searching for AR items isn't the way to look. (I get alerts when new stuff pops up, but that hasn't yet) . Gotta vamoose.
Comments: Happy Birthday "She Who Must Not Be Named"! You live every day with the best birthday present I can imagine!!
OMG, those photos at Leaky Cauldron... Those practically melted my monitor!! That one where he is leaning back against the horse and you get the bare chest and hip and a bit of hair....and you know he wasn't wearing a damn thing during that shoot. I don't remember 17 yr old boys looking like that when I was 17!!!
What is your location? Western New York, U.S.A. Comments: Happy Birthday Rima!!!! Where ever you are! Hope it is a special day!! With Alan at your side I am sure it will be! Barb
Comments: Sorry guys, but can't resist! (Don't throw stones, please!) Happy 60th Birthday, Rima! ![]()
What is your location? GA Comments: Hey, Dan is almost 18, so that's close enough! Besides, if it were a girl up on that stage, all of the men in the world would have loads of comments.Right? We have to give a round of applause to Dan for being a true professional and having the courage to disrobe on stage. And being the handsome young man that he is dosen't hurt either!
What is your location? Indiana Comments: Yes, I would LOVE to see the play Dan is in. To make me feel about wanting to see this, I just tell myself that Dan is closer to my age then AR.
What is your location? New York Comments: LOL...I just saw the pix at Leaky Cauldron of Dan! OK...I am now officially a pervy lady!
Comments: Oh, Me!! I'm dying of envy!! I'd love to see Dan in the play. And I honestly think he is going to do well. I have faith in him and his talent. And yes, I'd like to see him nekkid!!! I am officially a dirty old broad.
Comments: I have just ordered your book Susan, I left a message on Saturday and no-one got back to me so I rang again. It will take 2-3 weeks to get here, I didn't realise they were printed in Canada. Looking forward to it coming.
What is your location? london Comments: ok,I got my tickets to go see dan in the play, and before you lot start on me,Im going to see if..
a)he is talented enough to take on the role, which Im sure he is and b)to see if our man is going to be there on my night!!! See I have my reasons.... But OMG,does Dan look smashing in those pics....not right to be looking at 17yrs olds this way....look away
Comments: Thanks, Carolyn! Here is the corrected link for the article, as the other one didn't work.
What is your location? New York Comments: There's an interesting article w/Randall Miller about "Nobel Son" at: http://www.whedon.info/article.php3id=20524 According to the article, they don't even have a distributor yet and are finishing up the soundtrack this week.
Comments: I had a quick look at the South Bank Awards beginning and unless he wore the same stuff and sat next to Jarvis Cocker again then yes it's def last years!!
What is your location? New York Comments: OK...so if anyone wants to discuss these pix, I guess the discussion should really be next door since it's not directly AR related. However, that being said, if anyone is interested, go to www.danradcliffe.com and take a look at the latest publicity photos for Equus. May I just say that "Little" Dan Radcliffe has left the building!!
What is your location? Folkestone Comments: I have just checked the SOUTH BANK awards video from Sunday night and can safely say that the footage of Alan in the very beginning was from last years show. He is wearing the same clothes and sitting next to the same guy looking identical to pictures I saw last year. So in all probability he didn't attend.
What is your location? GA Comments: Oh and please feel better soon, Ali-Pat! We miss ya here.
What is your location? GA trying to catch up with yall! Comments: These come to us from our very own Ali-Pat who is home nursing a nasty cold. Thanks Ali-Pat! These are cute!

Love that last one!!!!
Comments: Hi! Just stopping to show a link http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/entertainment/performing_arts/16570770.htm?source=rss
And what concerns the book, it's just creepy and cute in the same time.
Comments: ordered her book right now for 7 GBP - I think that's a fair price but this here is "scandal", isn't it?: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270084219815&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS
What is your location? UK Comments:
Sue - I watched the South Bank show last night, and they DID show Alan as the opening credits rolled, but that was all. I think that, as in a Frasier episode, the winners & nominees were in one room and the other guests in a second room. If I'd won anything, they'd be searching for me in the second room!
Carolyn - thanks for that. I might just go along.
What is your location? justoffout Comments: I recorded The South Bank Awards last night and have have just whizzed through it at x6/x12 and couldn't spot Rickman there. I have neither the time or the inclination to watch the thing properly so if anybody can say he was there for sure I'll save it for later. It could be that the scene somebody saw in the ad was from last year's show.
What is your location? New York Comments: I don't know if those of you who live in London would be interested in attending, but Antonia Quirke is giving a talk with two other writers on "The Art of the Autobiography". It's on Feb.17 from 10:30-11:30AM at Foyle's.
Comments: I´ve ordered the book at http://www.amazon.co.uk for half the price. If you want to purchase it, check it out.
Comments: OK, I found it for about $10 cheaper so I went for it. I really enjoy humorous books of this type. Although I hope I will get all the humor and the stars that she references since she's British!
What is your location? London Comments: Hey all Just thought that you would like to know that if you are a UKer,PofT is on right now,BBC 1 and although its the version with our man half cut out of it,its still got him in,so worth a shot.... and he does make a wonderful sheriff if I do say so.... Enjoy.....
Oh and have ordered said book...Hurrah....
Comments: I think I'd like to pick it up too, as it looks like an excellent book for vacation/travel reading, but with the conversion rate and shipping it's close to $30. Maybe I'll wait to see if you all like it....!
What is your location? UK Comments:
Sorry, I've had a
Comments: Thanks New Jan (she must have something on him! ) I ordered it from Play.com this morning as I really enjoyed the excerpts yesterday.
What is your location? UK Comments:
After reading the article by Antonia Quirke (author of the telegraph article yesterday), I googled her name and it seems she has a new book out on 5th Feb. Alan has given a review:
I think that as she seems to be a fellow fan of Alan's, and Alan likes the book, perhaps we should give it a go?
Boy, we've got a lot of reading to do this year, huh? What with Susan's book out, too.
Hey Susan, do you think he'd give a review for your book?
Comments: Snokat, WONDERFUL
Comments: Actually I thought that odd scarf looked like the tie off of his bathrobe!! He does indeed do his own thing when it comes to fashion.
What is your location? Berne, Switzerland on a sunny winter day Comments: THANKS for the very recent yummy pictures of AR!
I sorted through my stack of videos and dvds and I do have some AR movies double. There are 2 videos and 2 dvds - all four only play on European players, the dvds are Region 2 and the videos are PAL.
DIE HARD on DVD, English and Spanish
DOGMA on DVD, English and German
GALAXY QUEST on video, English
LOVE ACTUALLY on video, English
If anyone is interested in obtaining either of these please send me an e-mail!
Cheers from Switzerland!
What is your location? United States, PA Comments: Those new pictures of Alan are so sexy. I just love that scarf he seems to be wearing a lot lately. I also love his hair. I like how long it is. I want to run my fingers through it. He really is looking really hot these days.
Comments: I thought I remembered Antonia Quirke's name from the London Evening Standard. HERE is her review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I thought she was a fan when I read that orginally.
Comments: From Suzanne's Guest Book: "Hi! If anyone is interested I just saw a clip of the South Bank Show Awards for British films, actors, actresses, etc, which is on tomorrow night, Sunday 28th January on ITV1 at 10.45pm - 12am. There was a shot of Daniel Radcliffe and shortly after a close-up of Alan Rickman sitting at a table, so he could be presenting or receiving an award. Hope you get a chance to see it and enjoy. Bye! Sib" Anyone planning to watch this? And maybe tape it? And post it? That would be great--
Comments: "Of course I remember you, silly..." I'd empy my bank account to hear those words being purred into my phone. Can you just imagine the sensation of it? Like rubbing your entire naked body over a blanket of velvet just from the dryer!!

Quite a nice article, don't you think? Reinforces our opinion of what a nice man he is.
What is your location? UK Comments:
In today's Telegraph magazine (UK newspaper supplement), there is an article by Antonia Quirke entitled 'Cinema desperado', in which she mentions Alan ('...how she got to sleep with Alan Rickman'). There is also an illustration of Alan by Ben Kirchner.
Unfortunately I can't find it on the Telegraph website to post a link here. Perhaps someone else can? Otherwise, if you think it's not breaching copyright laws, I can post the relevant bits.
Comments: Not getting a picture here Carolyn. Here's a LINK to the invite.
What is your location? New York Comments: I don't know if anyone's interested, but here's a copy of the invitation to the Gate Theatre event that Sue mentioned:
Comments: Yulia, it was just posted on a board I belong to by someone who had seen it on another board. You know how these things get passed round the web! I don't know how true it is but maybe it is better to be safe than sorry especially if Claudia was the one to be picked up on. Talking of Claudia, where is our beloved leader? Hope all is well with her and hers.
Comments: sue, thanx for that information, may I ask: where did you find it? Awesome! The pictures on Getty Images are absolutely stunning!
I've found a nice article http://www.harlowcitizen.co.uk/mostpopular.var.1089477.mostviewed.perfume_15_.php Rickman is an excellent foil but Hoffman is a tad hammy.
Comments: I'll just delete it all from my photobucket.
Comments: Good point, sue. Claudia or Sabine - can you delete that post??
They are easily accessible by searching on Getty.
Sorry!!
Comments: I'm wondering whether we should be putting Getty image pix up here rather than just a link. A board I am on put up an article that said Getty, in particular, was getting very heavy with websites that used their photos. I shall post the piece as was posted on our board: Quote: Warning - Getty Images fining users Some of you work with web images, some from Getty Images. You'll need to be careful, as Getty Images is starting to crack down on unauthorized usage of their pictures and will fine those responsible about $2000 to $3000 per picture. News and discussion from SitePoint about the matter. It doesn't matter if your website is big or small, commercial or noncommercial. If you have a website that hosts images made with Getty Images pictures (such as a signature or an avatar), you may be held responsible for paying the fine, even if you didn't upload the picture yourself. In the meantime, take advantage of other image sources such as Sxh.Hu or Creative Commons searches. Be careful though: if the image's photographer uploaded his pictures into multiple archives, and one of them happens to be Getty Images, you may be fined for that image even though you got it from a different source. Please pass this on to other relevant people and communities. This would impact a lot of LJ and JF people, as well as people who make their own website designs or maintain fansites and rely on Getty Images for source material. Can you pass this on to any forums websites that you have or may visit.
Thanks for the pix anyway

What is your location? Folkestone Comments: ....and if I remember rightly Sue John Hurt was the narrator in Perfume. What an excellent story teller he is too.
What is your location? england Comments: Just having my Friday catch-up! As someone who has trouble writing a shopping list I commend Susan for writing a novel!
From tonight's London Evening Standard, The Londoner's Diary: Quote: "Alan Rickman and John Hurt were guests at a charity gala to raise money for the Gate Theatre at the 20th Century Theatre on Westbourne Grove. "It's difficult to build a theatre space," pointed out Rickman in his speech. "They are usually found or converted and have ghosts still clinging to their walls." There was a silent auction with lots including an evening at a press night with Sunday Times theatre critic John Peter, four tickets to the Sound of Music and - curiously for this luvvie crowd - Champions League tickets to Manchester United vs Lille"
Comments: a Frend, thanks a lot

Alanfan and any other UK dwellers the above number will get you through to the order desk in the UK, I just rang them and they said they were having Internet problems due to the high volume of traffic which they are trying to fix.

What is your location? Campbell (NE Ohio) Comments: Hello, I apologize if this has been posted, haven't been able to catch up reading DH messages yet ... but I just got this "alert" in my e-mail:
EAGERLY AWAITING FOR MY COPY OF "THORNTON MANOR" to arrive from yesterday's order. Looking forward to holding the book in my hands.
Keep writing, Susan!!! KEEP WRITING!
Comments: Hello Susan, I congratulate you for your splendid talent.
It would be so great, if we could see it some day in cinema. Meanwhile I'm looking forward to read it first.
What is your location? Maryland Comments: Hello Everyone My name is Pat and I have been lurking on this fantastic site for many months. I just had to make my appearance when I read about Susan's book.
SUSAN, HOW WONDERFUL!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I hope your book sells a million copies. Like so many of your new fans I too would like to know the blow by blow description how your book was published and then how it got to Alan's hands. How can I contact you?
What is your location? New York Comments: Thanks, Nahima! My computer wouldn't let me do anything with the larger size photos!
Comments: Thanks Carolyn for those new/old photos of AR, love his 'AABA' look! I managed to 'printscreen' some, sorry for the quality and for forgetting how to show them as 'thumbnails'. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Congratulations on your book and related projects, Susan! ![]()
What is your location? Folkestone Comments: Vicky can you email me so I can reply to your questions.
I am expecting a shipment of books from Canada, not sure how long they will be though, but when they arrive I will put them on Amazon and a buy now on eBay which may make it easier for some people to purchase. I will let you know. It is not that easy to get a book into shops, you need to have sold many many copies before they will even consider it.
In answer to you question of How did I get a copy to Alan? Well we had a little tete a tete at the Hampstead Snowcake screening back in September and I gave it to him them and told him about it. You should have seen his eyes light up when he knew that I had written a part in it for him!
What is your location? New York Comments: For those of you living in the Midwest in the US, according to: http://www.cptonline.org "MNIRC" is going to be produced by the Cleveland Public Theater Friday, February 16-Sunday, February 18, 2007. It will be directed by Trad Burns and features Elizabeth Wood. Tix can be purchased online.
Comments: Congratulations, Susan! Your book looks very good.
For anyone interested, here's a link to a transcript (in English) of the Nobel Son trailer and the individual character clips: http://mysite.verizon.net/ressuzc9/ardentrickmanadmiration/id12.html I got the character names from IMDb. Until rewatching it just now, I didn't realize the two scrungy characters in the truck - one about to swollow the thumb
Comments: While searching YouTube this morning, I came across this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WME495PWWJE It's a song written by Billy Bragg about the life and death of Rachel Corrie. I wonder if Alan had any influence in encouraging Billy to undertake this project at all.
I remember Billy (much like Alan) was a fierce supporter of Old Labour and recall him speaking out on numerous occasions in support of it's left wing policies. Not only through Rima, I know Alan has a lot of connections with the Old Labour (as opposed to New Labour) governments and didn't he appear in their Party Political Broadcast at one point?
I just think this little gem of a song is rather 'cool'. I've always been a fan of Billy's and to discover there might be a link between him and Alan would make me love him just that bit more.
Comments: Great find, Carolyn.
What is your location? Missouri Comments: I'm a latecomer to the party here, but I just wanted to say congratulations to Susan. That is absolutely incredible news! I also read the 2-page excerpt and would love to get my hands on a copy.

What is your location? Texas, USA Comments: Hello! *waves* I'm usually an occasional lurker around here (did that make sense? lol) but I just had to comment today, having read Susan's post about her book. Out of sheer curiosity I went to the publisher's website and read an excerpt from the book. All I can say is, I really want to read the rest now! If something I know virtually nothing about can get my attention and keep me interested in only about 2 pages, I think it's probably worth reading. I'm off to go order it! Congrats on your writing debut, Susan. I really hope we'll see the film-version of it, with Alan in it of course! ![]()
What is your location? Western New York, U.S.A. Comments: Good Luck Susan! You go girl!! Tell us how you got a copy into Alan's hands? Must be a great book for him to ask for a screenplay. Can't wait to read it. Best of wishes . Barb
What is your location? New York Comments: Here are a couple of more pix from the same shoot:
What is your location? New York Comments: These pix were uploaded to Flickr.com today. Sorry about the quality! It's awful, I know! I couldn't get the regular sized ones to download so I had to go with the smaller ones. They were taken on the set of filming "An Awfully Big Adventure".
What is your location? New York Comments: Susan, Anything in the book have to do with the real Thornton Manor in Cheshire?
What is your location? fainted on floor! Comments: OMG! Thank you so much everyone for your good wishes and congratulations. I was totally gobsmacked at the response from all you lovely ladies, it makes the effort I put into this book all worthwhile. The trails and tribulations I went through in the process of getting the book ready for publication, and the even greater hurdles that had to be overcome once they accepted my book for film adaptation. Believe me it is not an easy ride, especially dealing with the a film critic whose job it was to tear the book apart and find every possible flaw that wouldn't adapt to film well. I know VICKY has already asked me to go into greater detail regarding the whole process and I will answer her soon. If anyone else is interested in writing a novel and what it entails, please e-mail me and I will give you a blow by blow account!

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S
dear SUSAN! And a very happy SUSAN-from-FOLKESTONE-DAY! January 23 will be remembered! What a great accomplishment, dear friend!
I can only second Marlene's opionion: Susan's Novel "Thornton Manor" IS a PAGE TURNER! I had the honour, too, to be one of her proofreaders! I did enjoy each chapter very, very much. Ladies, I can only recommend to order a copy right away: it is a very interesting story to read! You will not be disappointed! What you can look forward to? Romance, love, lies, deception, betrayel, murder..... a very vividly written novel that you don't want to put down until you finish reading it!
Susan, I hope it'll be a huge success! I am already a fan!
What is your location? NZ Comments: Great News, Susan. Many congratulations at getting the book published. Will write a personal e-mail when I am back home.
Comments: so then Claudia, please note for the following years: the 23rd of January is our Susan-from-Folkestone Day Susan, great accomplishment!!!!
What is your location? Los Angeles Comments: Susan, Susan, Susan!!! That is absolutely fantastic news!!! You should be very proud of your accomplishment! Have you ever done any writing before?...or was it just AR's magical inspiration and the Screenwriting for Dummies that guided you? (Wow, do I feel like a complete slacker now.) But seriously, that is just such fabulous, inspiring news. Did you use an agent? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just curious about the process.
I nominate today as Hooray for Susan from Folkestone Day!!
What is your location? GA Comments: Susan- Just to add a note to my previous offer: If nothing else, I'm available for Chapter 16! It'll be a tough job, I'm willing to take one for the team! Oh the agony....... *snort*
What is your location? Indiana Comments: Susan... Today you are my hero.. Congratulations! I'm going to buy your book as soon as I can. YAYYYY! *jumps excitedly*
Comments: Susan, I am impressed by your action! Hope the book will have a real success!!
Comments: Woah! Susan!!! Congratulations. I hope it will be a success. And erm, I second Nicketynick on the offer to play one of the roles *g*
What is your location? At Work - NE Ohio Comments: I can tell one and all that Susan's book "Thornton Manor" is DEFINITELY a page-turner! Once you start reading, you won't want to stop!
While Susan was creating the story and writing word-by-word, I was one of her guinea pigs... er... um... I mean - proofreaders - and got a copy of the chapters as they flowed out of her pen.
No sooner did I finish the last word in the chapter, than I was bugging her for MORE!! I felt a bit like Oliver Twist ... paraphrased : " Please Susan, Can I have some more?? NOW!!!!! "
FABULOUS, simply FABULOUS!!
CONGRATULATIONS Friend!!! I hope you sell a million! (BTW.. I ordered a copy already!)
What is your location? GA Comments: Congratulations Susan! That's wonderful news! How exciting! Should the opportunity arise, don't forget to tell them about a Nurse-turned-drama student that would perfect for one of the roles! *snicker* (only joking)
What is your location? Canada Comments: Wow, great job Susan. Hey, maybe you should send the book to Emma Thomson. She is a great screenwriter and hey, i for one would love to see another Rickman/Thomson productuion. Good work, update us when you can.
Comments: WOW SUSAN!!!! That is GREAT! I am so HAPPY for you. Good Luck!
Comments: Wow Susan, Congrats on your bravery! Way to Go. Keep us updated please.

What is your location? New York Comments: OMG!!!! Susan, CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so very happy for you!
What is your location? Folkestone England Comments: Here’s a little surprise for everyone! I have been busy this past year writing a romantic novel, never done it before, but always wanted to. I sent it up to a publisher after being persuaded to by some friends and ardent DH members. Alan Rickman is portrayed as one of the characters in the book. Not only did it get accepted for publication, but the American Screenplay Agency snapped it up for possible book to film adaptation and placed it on their database! Alan has a copy of the book and has asked me to send him a Screenplay of it. Having never done one before, I enlisted the help of Angela Pell (Snowcake writer) and a book called (Screenplay writing for dummies) I have started to write it now, learning as I go. All we need now is to persuade Alan to play the part!! If anyone is interested in obtaining a copy it can be purchased through www.trafford.com just type in THORNTON MANOR in the search box. Warning: Chapter sixteen contains descriptions of an explicit sexual nature…he shouldn’t find it difficult to do after Nobel son!
What is your location? Missouri Comments: Kiefer Sutherland??? Colin Firth???
Comments: Apparently the Viggo Mortensen fans and the Sean Bean fans worked together (in a remembrance of the Fellowship which doesn't seem to extend to the Elf). The other Harry Potter fans never seemed very interested in voting for AR, although the SB/AR contest had by far the highest vote totals of the year.
Comments: EWWH! That man is BUTT-Ugly! How in the world did he beat out Alan? It's all publicity. Alan needs a new publicist!!
Comments: Just because we have learned to loathe the Hello! polls: Sean Bean - the man who kicked out AR in January 2006 - now at least came first place as most attractive man of the year. http://www.hellomagazine.com/celebrities/specials/grand-finale-men-06/pagina_1_1.html
I know, we are not interested in that. But maybe it has some greater meaning I miss
Comments: Ginny, No, I'm just north of STL in Alton. I don't even know where Columbia IL is!! But we haven't lived here that long. I know Edwardsville/Glen Carbon/Fairview Heights/Belleville area fairly well.
What is your location? Missouri Comments: Hey SnoKat - you don't by any chance live near Columbia, IL do you? I met my husband there and we lived there for a short time after we were married. Beautiful little town, as is the town I live in now. You're so right, he needs to visit the Midwest. I'd be more than happy to show him around!
Comments: The film Zodiac is listed on IMDb as completed and to be released in early 2007. Another one of those casting rumours that get put up somewhere and then quoted as gospel I expect.
Comments: I am sure this has been addressed already since this is dated in 2005, but I have to ask. Does anyone know what happened to AR playing in Zodiac or is this a misprint of somesorts. I got this information off the Yahoo Biography page.
Rickman again revived his role as the mysterious Professor Snape for the series’ fourth installment, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” (2005), the first to be helmed by a British director (Mike Newell). Then in late 2005, he began shooting “Zodiac,” a psychological thriller about the famed Zodiac killer who terrorized San Francisco from 1966-1978.

Comments: Every week the Radio Times reviews a new "old" dvd release ie tv series etc that have now come out on dvd. This week's is Girls on Top starring French, Saunders, Wax and Ullman. It's the full series at 235mins. To quote the RT: "..it's roll call of new faces such as Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane, Hugh Laurie, Harry Enfield, Helen Lederer and John sessions in cameos.." £17.99 from Radio Times (RRP £22.99)

Can I acces Alan photo by the Mark Chilvers website someone post down here?
Lovely Sunday everybody xD
Comments: Yes, I saw that as well. Thanks, Carolyn.
What is your location? New York Comments: Vera, just as an FYI, he's on his way now to Kingston, Jamaica. He should be arriving there on Jan.22.
Comments: Thank you so much, Karin. I'm not so much interested in the article, but in the photo. The Times has a photosales department, but they need either the photographer's name or the page numbers to be able to provide any information on whether it's possible to purchase a photo. Obviously, I had none of the information. Now I can give it another try or contact Mark Chilvers directly, hoping that the price will be reasonable.

Hi Vera, YES, indeed a couple of days ago I did receive the TIMES-article "Play your cards right, and you're a hero"! I just LOVE that picuture! The article is on pages 13, 14 and 15! And the photographer apparently (it says so atop of the photo) is Mark Chilvers! I checked him out on the internet: he is a London based photographer specialising in portraiture, photojournalism and social documentary. Check out:

Comments: A nice long interview with David Bradley (Argus Filch from HP) HERE I like this quote: Quote: The Harry Potter films have been a chance for Bradley to reunite with many old friends, among them Michael Gambon, Richard Griffith and Alan Rickman, with whom he started at the RSC in 1978 ("he seems to have got better looking, somehow, as he's got older.") "It's nice when you get a tea break, and we sit around among all the dusty cables behind the set for Hogwarts Hall," he says. "They put a special heater in so we can read our papers and have a gossip."

Comments: Hi, I am from Poland, I’ve been lurking here for a long time and now I just want to say that Alan Rickman is the most wonderful actor the World’s ever seen! My favourite movie is Sense and Sensibility, since having watched it I was charmed by Alan completely. I like the posts you all make, they are always very interesting and informing. Thank you, keep on posting! And please forgive my bad English.
