Hmmm. I don't think you can even 'preview' the videos with a paid account. I think they just show you screenshots from them. Not sure. Bummer.
3/31/07 at 11:22 PM
Comments: I was just digging around and found a number of AR video clips on WireImage that I have not seen before. Unfortunately, to preview or see them it appears that you must have a paid account. And if I'm reading the terms right, to view videos more than a year old you need the most expensive account.
Do we have any generous angels in the crowd who may have access??

Comments: Alfan, that's not really the way I remember AR's results in the Hello! poll.
In the end-of-year finale of 2005 he was second to Bloom all month. The results were suspicious, I agree, but AR remained second; Bloom dropped down to about fifth; and Butler moved up to first. That was the only time in two years of following the poll that I have seen the expected results change.
In 2006, the fans of AR and Sean Bean battled furiously all month, thousands of votes every day, and SB scraped a win at the end, so AR was not in the finale.
If AR does well in Hello!--a gossip rag, sure, but a well-known one, one that's in print--it will get noticed by producers, directors, and writers. "Hmmm, they still think he's a babe." AR will get offered more scripts in which he'd play romantic and sexy parts, rather than grandfatherly guys with canes. That's what I'd like, so that's why I vote in the poll.

Comments: Ok, how do i put this with out sounding rude.
That darn Hello poll ( specially end of the year) voting thing is totally rigged , and rigged up the butt. We have supported Alan before ( twice) and he was way ahead of Orlando Bloom and even more ahead of Gerald Butler and when it came down to the last day, suddenly baaam, it wasnt Alan who won. There was no way he shouldnt of won, he was way too ahead, even Orlando didnt win,,,, i have given up on the hello voting as it is way to time consuming and frustration,,,,,,,,,,but that doesnt mean you have to, keep going by all means. I hope it didnt come accross mean or rude, that is not my intention, just that i refuse ( and i think im not alone) to get sucked into that crap again.
Good luck though, vote vote vote.

It does seem that S.T. will get a Holiday Release as per the following short article I found on the www:
Tuesday, March 27, 2007
DreamWorks has given Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street a December 21, 2007 release date, with Johnny Depp, Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Laura Michelle Kelly, Christopher Lee, Timothy Spall and Anthony Stewart Head attached to star. Directed by Tim Burton, Stephen Sondheim musical thriller revolves around Benjamin Barker alias Sweeney Todd, (Depp) who returns to London after being deported to find out what happened to his wife and child at the hands of Judge Turpin. When he learns of their terrible fate he joins fortunes with Mrs. Nellie Lovett, the baker downstairs from his barbershop, and sets out to seek revenge.
But for the time being we can all look forward to Nobel Son and the latest HP movie soon upcoming! CHEERS to all!

Hikity, the 21st December has been listed on a lot of reputable sites. Many movies have a less than a year turnaround, I think it depends a lot on the director and at what speed they like to work.

It seems that they insert a "security" thing against mass voting. If you want to vote you need to type 4 letters on a new site that appears to get your vote through. Alan competes against David Beckham, Viggo Mortensen and Gerald Butler.

Might I speculate wildly? If, in fact, AR does come over for the Tribeca Premiere of Nobel Son, that would coincide with the US release of Snow Cake on April 25. Perhaps some media or television appearances will result (to promote Snow Cake)?

That design is the Ying and Yang symbol, and I have to admit my first thought was 'so all he's done is put the design on a box pattern? Yippee!'
But having read Zorra's more detailed description about how the symbols are made up of poetry and question marks etc. I'm now impressed.
Really interesting find.
Still relieved he decided to go to RADA, though!
3/29/07 at 04:30 AM
Comments: Thanks for sharing that Zorra, I knew he had some work in that magazine but had never seen it.
My brother used to get Oz but was supposed to keep it stashed away in his room as it was so rude according to my parents. Needless to say, as an innocent 14 year old ,I used to pop in there for a quick flick through whilst he was out. I wonder if he still has them? He is a real hoarder so who know? I must ask him.
Be nice to get a copy and get it signed, bet that would stop him in his tracks!! Maybe we should all print out a copy and stick it on to card a la Blue Peter and make the box!LOL
The only other art work I recall someone finding from those days was a photo on a record album that he was supposed to have done the lettering for. Somebody put it on a board I belonged to years ago.
3/28/07 at 11:57 PM
Comments:
Second box from left, middle row has the poem, called "In the heart of the isn't there is the is," contained in that paisley shape. All the other boxes are shapes made of polar opposite symbols printed in contrasting ink to make a whole image of "an isn't that is an is". (one box is plusses and minuses, one box is periods and question marks, etc.) It's too bad they didn't use glossy paper, because it's very hard to see the contrasts.
3/28/07 at 11:44 PM
Comments:
Gosh, how interesting! So the poem is written in some of the shapes (I can't see that level of detail)?
3/28/07 at 11:02 PM
Comments:
Box art was popular in the 60s. Usually the boxes or cubes had poetry on the sides and you were meant to put a string through them and hang them up. They were usually made of heavier cardboard though. This one is very flimsy paper and I'm not sure it would work. Peter Mayer was a popular poet of the time and he used to do a lot of these shape-poetry things, so it seems that AR didn't come up with the cut-out as an original design. He was probably following Mayer's concept of having the words make a shape.
3/28/07 at 10:39 PM
Comments: Whoa, that is very cool, thanks for sharing it!
It will create a box if cut out and folded. Does anyone know the background on it - why he created this design for a folded box?
3/28/07 at 09:41 PM
Comments: I made a copy of his art.

Now is the time to contribute this all-but-unknown piece of AR artwork that I've been enjoying for a few years now - amazed that nobody else has twigged to this yet. Before he was an actor, he was a graphic artist. His specialty was doing interesting designs with typography. This is a piece he made for the underground magazine Oz in 1969. The link is to an Oz collectors site that scanned in every issue (it was sort of London's version of Rolling Stone, but wilder). AR did the artwork for a poem that was written by someone else. The scan is not too clear, unfotunately, but you can get the gist of what he was trying to do with contrasts. I have the actual magazine and the pages are not glossy, so the white-on-black of the typeface is faded now with time, sad to say. But it's still an interesting and ultra-rare piece of AR's artwork from back in the day.

Its been so long ago and we have so many new people in and out...its brand new stories to them!

Two things to celebrate! The first time I have used my new scanner, and the first time I have posted a photo here. Take a look at this shot from The Lucky Chance that I found on p. 33 of The Back Stage Theater Guide (Back Stage Books, 1991).

From blurb about Overlooked Film Festival in Illinois Quote: Other guests will include Andy Davis, a UI graduate who directed "Holes," the free family film to be shown April 28. A possible festival guest will be actor Alan Rickman, who appears in "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer," to be shown April 26.
Here's the LINK
That, of course, is close to the proposed date of the Nobel Son Premiere at Tribeca Festival so who knows, maybe he is going over to the States in April?

Comments: Okay, that one book jacket makes no sense to me. Not the locket one, that is obviously Slytherin's locket, one of the Horcruxes. The other one where it looks like they are jump or falling into piles of treasure.
Also, I wonder what Alan was doing in NYC in 1984. That was more during his stage work time. I think Barchester Chron was done more like 1982. Ahhh, young, "pretty" Alan.

Great photo find, Sophia! No, he probably would not have been known much in the US at that early date. By my calculations, that photo was taken around the time he was playing Gayman in The Lucky Chance in London and also around the time he was filming The Barchester Chronicles. I forget--didn't he grow a beard for The Lucky Chance?

Comments: hi girls!!!! I want to remember you that we'll have a hard month in april, because we'll have to vote for Alan in two webs. first, I want this is clear: I only want to encourage to all rickmaniacs who want to vote!!! I know, some of you said in february you don't want to vote again and bla bla bla........ so, ok...I understand, but for the rest, I say, I ask, I beg....VOTE FOR ALAN!!!!! well, you know Hellomagazine very well, and you know YOU CAN VOTE EVERY 15 minutes. So..I wonder, if we got more of 13000 votes in the first week of march in hellomagazine , why we got only 12000 in waposdecine in all the february month????? compare 7 days with 28. ok, now, I give the reminded that next 1st april Alan will come back to waposdecine votation. here, YOU CAN VOTE EVERY 10 minutes. good girls, I don't want to seem heavy, but I think Alan deserves to win. WE CAN DO IT!!!!

Comments: Thanks for the link, Leanne. As AlSiPaRi said, Claudia has this on her television page. But this one seems to me to be a different version? Maybe I'm wrong because it's been a long time since I've watched the one I downloaded from here.
Thanks to pat for part 2 of your stage door encounters with AR. Wow! You've seen so many of his theater performances. I love the description of the collective sigh when Alan appeared on stage. You are one of the lucky few!
Miriam - how nice to be greeted at the door with Alan's face! I need to pull out BD again and watch it. It's been awhile. I've been watching some of his films that I haven't seen for a long time. I know there are many that don't like this film, but I just watched JK and although there are flaws in this film, I still kind of like it. There are so many beautiful close-ups of AR's face in this one. You could almost just mute the audio and just watch the picture. I love the interaction between him and Emma Thompson. I just wish they'd do a film with similar type roles but without the accents. But, hey, that's part of the charm of this quirky movie.

This evening my hubby and I returned home where my kids were waiting for us and what was the first thing I saw.... (on the DVD) I saw AR's face in the movie Blow Dry. So what a lovely home coming, isn't it? I like his many different facial expressions. Oh well, he IS a good actor, isn't he? But above all, he is a good person, I am sure he is and that is the most important thing. I am glad to be a fan of such a nice man. Very talented and very nice. A wonderful combination. Well, I will finish this thingy now for I'd like to practice my music on the harp now, before I go to sleep. Goodnight everybody. Thanks to you all for sharing so much with us.

Comments: Hi Viki, 2nd part. oops I forgot to include Tango at the end of winter. 1991 Strange play but I enjoyed it, I had already seen the making of it so I understood it more ,Yes I went to the stage door could not get near, never seen so many fans ,he went back into the theatre. 1998 Antony and Cleopatra at theNational London, saw it twice ,he sign my programe but did notwait about long, car waiting. The play did not get good reviews it should have.
2001 Private lives at the albery theatre london 3rd row seat a wonderful play great performances by Alan and Lindsey Duncan.after the play we went as usual to stage door there were a lot of fans, so it took awhile to get near, but we did it ,he looked wonderful friendly and chatting to every one. [we went back to see it eight more times]
2002 Private Lives transferred to New York, I got hold of friend and flew of to New York. There were a lot of people waiting to go into the theatre mostly women all chatting about Alan and saying where tey had come from we said we had come from London another fom Germany and one from Spain. Then all excitment the doors opened , we were all excited, we did not let on let onwe had seen it inLondon. The lights went down and before you new it Alan was there on stage before us [I do not think I imagine it] but a big combined sigh went up in the theatre. The play Brilliant, Alan in pyjamas and dressing gown bare feet seemed to glide across the stage, fighting with Lindsey kissing hugging ,dancing singing [ one particular scene he just slids his arms around Lindsey and just hugs her close,I think most of the women held there breath and wishing they were inLindseys shoes. me included. A rush to the stage door crowds waiting took a while before he come out ,usual thing abit of shove and push [dont blae them] all very exciting just to be there a number of fans near to swooning I think signing and had a little chat flew home the next day. I lived in London at that timeso able to go to the theatre when I liked I came to OZ in 2003 , I do havepics but can not put on to guest book [no scanner] If you have a safe address I could send you some its up to you.
I found Alan to be very easy to talk to he is interested in what you have to say ,most fans want to know about his films etc ,but does not like any personal questions. bye for now pat in sunny OZ

Comments: Hi Vicki, Ok here it is again , 1985 I saw DL in the west end London, the play was wonderful, Alan brilliant, waited to see him at the stage door ,but it did not happen on that occasion. 1992 Hamlet [this was a real treat] it was at the riverside theatre in London. We had front row seats, which was at stage level, when Alan was on stage he was close enough to touch [phew] We waited at the stage door in hope he would come out, after an hour there he was [blue jeans, white t shirt, black jacket], There were not many of us waiting as it was midnight. He chatted for a while,he did some signing photo ,programe etc. [he looked wonderful]. We went back to see the play again 7 more times ,each time seeing him at the stage door and each time he was charming and kind. The play went on tour first to Nottingham england ,so I drove there and saw the play again twice more and yes met him again at stage door. 1995Winters Guest at the Almedia theatre in London , only saw him a short time, long enough time for him to sign my programe,He was with some actor friends so he did not spend much time with us.
this is end of part one will do part two tomorrow pat

Comments: Sue--Vail is in Colorado, its about couple hours or sp west of Denver. I drove through there last year on our way to California ( Hi Vicki ), but it was a good snow storm ( it was ok, im from Sask and we are use to driving with 0 visability). Tje ski resort was not closed because it wasnt like a blowing snow storm it was more like a fluffy, new powder snow. It was funny because on our way though Colorado we were going to stop at Grand Junction for the night but continued to drive on to Utah and stoped in Green River........now some of you have heard this story and some of you havnt so im going to tell it again for those who didnt, those who did just plug your ears and dont listen.......ahem
Ok, so here we are driving and decide that Green River is about where we should stop, and as we are driving the terraine is looking very familiar. Red boulders that look like they were just dropped from heaven, little mountain/hills that look like they were carved from adobe.....anyways, we stop in Green River and we go to a hotel, and at this hotel while Keith is checking us in i look around and see a pamphlet ( still have them) that says Goblin Vally...now if any of you watched the special features in Galaxy Quest you would know thats where they filmed the part where they get the barilliam sphere(?). So i say, hey, this is where they filmed GQ, and the clerk says yah, all the actors and crew stayed here, the whole hotel was reserved for them. I said cool,i was a big Alan Rickman fan and he said that i was staying in the same floor as he was. I was phsyched, so then the four of us go to the restaurant next door and there is a picture of Tim with the owner (?) and so i asked if she ( the clerk in the little store inside the restaraunt) if she met the cast of GQ and she said yes, they all came here for early morning breakfasts ( had to , it was to hot to film in the afternoon). She said that they sat in the same booth as us and that Tim always had the table laughing, always laughing and they would take turns paying the whole bill. She didnt know who Alan was but remembers the older british guy ( she was into Tim Allan), very pleasant and always smiling. So i didnt sleep that night much, it was my Alan connection for the trip to Disneyland, and i was happy. ( oh, i did think of him on the boomarang rollercoaster at Knotts)

I've been searching the web over and over to find things about him, what makes me even more of a fan. What can I say about AR that hasn't already been said? About his warm voice, smoothness of moves and charm. He may not be an hot babe, but has an unresistable charm that many man will never have. Anyway, what I mean is that I understand perfectly how you all feel, hope that we can always be his biggest fans, lol. I've promessed myself that I'll watch every single movie that AR as made, it's a big task but I'll take it with pleasure. Well kisses everybody.

What wonderful stories . Pudd , you know that I agree as usual, I lived through the same experiences as Alfan did and I believe Peek is totally right - the best thing of our fandom is the friendships we make - how wonderful for instance to have her as a friend! Or to have met Susan and Sue, to write mails to Alfan, to send articles, books, DVDs through the world to or receive from Frankfurt, Australia or USA, to share the (web) sun with Chris, lol...
Pudd: Whatever the reason was that I first discovered Alan, I have to confess, meanwhile I am blind, I am looking through pink glasses may be, but I think he is one of the most beautiful men I've ever met

Comments: Sharing these stories has been such fun. Interesting how Snape seems to be one of the recurring themes of how AR caught many fan's attention.
Alfan - I have a question. In your category of "Why, Alan, Why?" I have been wracking my brain but cannot figure out what film is BR. The one where you said "would've been nice if he were actually in it". I'm sure once you tell me, I'll be slapping my forehead and saying, "D'oh!"
pat - you actually saw him in LLD and Hamlet? You lucky, lucky, little rascal, you. You've probably already told the story here before....but for those of us who haven't heard it yet...could you indulge us one more time? Pretty please? C'mon, girl....we're in the midst of a drought......so, spill!
3/24/07 at 09:20 AM
Comments: Don´t you just love it when there´s a drought?
First, thank you C.A. for posting Lex´ letter. Lex we were all so worried about you, I´m glad you´re on the mend.
Like so many of us, Snape was the one who did it for me. I was intrigued by his character in the books but dumbstruck when I saw his perfomance on the screen. I remember watching the very first Harry Potter movie and before he had said one single word, it was obvious he had to be the one and only Snape. Imagine the moment he finally spoke the legendary words; "there will be no foolish wandwavings or silly incantations etc." I think my jaw hit the floor when I heard his wonderful voice. It´s funny because altought I think Alan is casted perfectly as Snape, my second son thinks the opposite. He might have had a total different perspective or expectation of the one performing Snape.
Well from that time I was hooked, or under his spell might be a better description. But strangely enough, it took me some time to google his name. When I finally did, I was really amazed he was in his late 50´s. What an actor! Then I stumbled across this wonderful site and started buying his other movies. Imagine my surprise he was in DH, which I had seen before of course. The only thing I regret is that I didn´t spot him earlier. I would have loved to see him on stage in Private Lives and LLD.
My family is fully aware of the fact I adore the man but they don´t understand. My hub raises his eyebrow everytime he enters my study (there´s a Read Poster above my computer *grin*), shakes his head and asks me what is so special about him. I guess some people never get it, do they? But I have to admit the hub is also very supportive. He accompagnied me to Perfume and SnowCake and watches all the HP movies over and over again when I want to (he always squeezes my hand when Snape comes in LOL).
But you know, we can squee and drool a lot over AR and fandom but I always realize how many of you became my friends... real friends. If it wasn´t for AR, I would never have met you guys. As I said before I´m always amazed how AR brings people together, eventhough he´s fully unaware of it.
I wish you all a lovely weekend!
Hugs Peek

Alfan - can I add a line to your list? - 'Warming my lips' from TMD. Ohhhh!
JK had me thinking, 'why?'. I can only imagine it was because of the involvement of Emma Thompson + hubby. My man, ever the cynic, answered 'for the money', but I can't believe that's true.
Yes, he wants to earn a decent living, but I don't think I'm looking through rose-tinted glasses when I say I believe he chooses a script for other reasons. Interviews have suggested he looks at character, storyline, and isn't interested in the Hollywood blockbuster. Hasn't he said recently in a SC interview that from now on he'll only do films where he can learn something?
(Wonder what he's learning in ST?)
Maryland - loved your tale.

Comments: As Sophia wrote, my husband and family (two daughters) are very relaxed with mum's obsession with another guy.
Most of the time they mock about me, sometimes slightly puzzled about my enthusiasm, but never really worried.
Hubby even accompanied me to the HP V world premiere in London and I have to admit he's really patient with me.
My favourite Alan movie - and I don't know for what reason exactly - was 'Closet Land'. For a short time now outmatched by "Snow Cake".
Least I like "Judas Kiss", can't get over that participation of Til Schwaiger. And the accent is so terrible.

Comments: So many interesting stories! I love to hear when, where, why you all have become fans.
Primarily, it was the role of Snape, too, who caught me at first sight (while watching the first HP movie in German). Surprised by myself falling immediately for the bad guy. Not my usual manner at that time. *grin* However, this one was special, so special. When I bought the first HP DVD then, finally able to watch the movie in English, the voice of AR, the way he talks, like New Jan said "the unexpected places he puts the emphasis and pauses in his lines" -- I was completely fascinated! And still am.
A friend of mine gave me DH and RH then, more bad guys, yeah, nice, but nothing compared to Snape and anyway, at that point I had enough of the AR's bad guy thing, just abiding by Snape. Not knowing, what I missed!
Years later, spring 2006, the same friend, who had become a fan of AR, gave me Sense & Sensibility, can't remember the reason, though... That movie marked the irrevocably beginning of a deep AR interest. Colonel Brandon, sad, sensitive, truly loving. I was touched and smitten -- forever.
In few months I watched all movies, I could get my hands on, (I am still lacking of three), bought nearly every DVD, many as imports, and found out about the incredible many-sidedness of AR's acting, his humour, his social engagements... What a marvellous discovery!
Fortunately, my husband is very relaxed about it, slightly amused sometimes, even giving AR credit for some roles. Can I ask for more?

Comments: My first recollection of being smitten with AR was seeing him in Die Hard. I was a huge fan of Moonlighting (still am...btw, Claudia, all five seasons have now been released on DVD, since I know you're a fellow fan) and went to see it because of Bruce Willis. But the minute the unusual looking, bearded, bad-boy opened his mouth, I was dumbstruck. "Who IS that guy?" I thought to myself.
Although I wasn't obsessed as I am now, I remember seeing him in subsequent films like, QDU, RHPOT, MC and thinking, "Hey, that's the guy I really liked from Die Hard!" Every time I saw him I remembered thinking how much I liked him as an actor. But his roles seemed so very few and far between that I became an out-of-sight, out-of-mind type of fan. I never saw Dogma, or Galaxy Quest when they were popular so I was blissfully unaware that AR was in those films. Then along came the HP films. Just as Alfan said, when he uttered that first line....."I can teach you how to bewitch the mind.....etc" I could no longer contain myself. I was already fascinated with the character of book Snape. But the pairing of AR with that character was too much for me. It was as if someone had brewed a love potion and slipped it to me unawares. I instantly had to know everything about him and see everything that he had done. Then I found this wonderful site and the rest is history. There is NO antidote. AR has me under his spell.

Comments: I was dimly aware of AR back in 1991 when my kids had me get their own copy of "Robin Hood". We had some of the toys too. A few months ago my (now grown) sons found some action figures, including the Sheriff. I'm sorry to say, someone had gone ahead and given him a "merciful beheading"!
Forward to three years ago, exactly, I went to a "Harry Potter" birthday party for two friends. In fact, tomorrow is the anniversary of that fateful night! I knew nothing about the movies, having grown kids and all, and at the party my friend had "Chamber of Secrets" playing. I started watching just as the famous dueling scene with Snape and Lockhart came on. Good heavens! I know who Kenneth Branach was but who cared about him? Who's that tall, dark stranger? It was love at first sight! I found out who he was, looked him up on IMDB and Google. The rest is history! I rented "Mesmer" and "Sense &Sensibility" on the same weekend and had already found my tape of "RHPOT" and watched that! As luck would have it, "Die Hard" was on TV! I was completely besotted! Unfortunately, my husband caught on after the fourth movie, different characters and looks notwithstanding, he finally asked, " What, do you have a 'thing' for this Alan Rickman guy?" I have a face like an open book. Denial was futile. Husband was reasonably understanding, after all, he was the direct beneficiary of my AR generated hormones! I now own 24 AR films, 25 if you count "The Winter Guest". Obsessed, who me? To paraphrase a line from "Fiddler On The Roof", " I am smitten by AR, and may I NEVER RECOVER!" Sorry to tell such a long story. Brevity is not my strong point! Maryland

Sense & Sensibility did it for me. So I'm a long time fan. But my "obsession" level just hit over the last year. And I don't know why. I just suddenly couldn't get enough of him. I think it started after I bought the DVD of Goblet of Fire.

Comments: First of all: A speed recovery for Lex! So I don't know you really I wish you all the best!
Second: I also fell in love with AR as Snape, but not before the 3th film. I've seen it in German in the cinema and suddenly recognized that the only reason I was watching the movie was Snape. As soon as possible I got me the DVD to get the English sound track; and then, with the line "Well, well Lupin, ou- t for a little wal-k in the moonligh-t!" I was cursed! Some sort of bounding spell, I suppose!
Then I got me all of his other movies and love most of them so much.
Okay, maybe he has not a model face, but .... sexiness isn't made of this! It's made of behaviour, of manners, of habits and of course, the way he acts. Seeing his face in an interview and I love with him, think with him, doubt with him and get angry with him. And that is more than I can see in any other face. His shape is tall, he's got brown eyes, broad shoulders, elegant hands and, Ladies, do I really need to mention his lips?
Enough, enough now! *goes drooling over a lot of sensational Alan-pictures*
BTW: Anyone who ever read a Snape-FF KNOWS he wears black boxers!

About five years ago I acquired RH from my daughter as she was getting rid of all her video's and going over to DVD's. I was taken with this actor who was the sheriff I'd never seen him in anything before. I asked her what else he'd been in and she said TMD and DH, they had just got DH on DVD but I tried the Library in our town they sent away for it for me and hey-presto I was sold. I now have everyone of his films plus some of his TV stuff. Love that man.

Comments: I like to read how you all became Fans. I think also that KC is a good actor. He touched me in Dances wit Wolves and Perfect World. But I think Alan is much better than other big hollywood actors like KC, BW. No Question. I`m looking forward to see him with Jonny Depp. The next battle of the Giants. Ohhh!!! I`m sorry, I forgot . He "likes to think acting isn`t a competition".

Yup, Snape is what did it for me, too. I sat in the cinema feeling , knowing mummy shouldn't be having such wicked thoughts whilst watching a kids film, and with my own two next to me. I'd never seen Die Hard or RH. The only film I'd seen was TMD and I vaguely remember thinking I'd rather have stayed with the ghost, but otherwise, SNAPE. Oh, boy!
AR fascinates me with the unexpected places he puts the emphasis and pauses in his lines. For instance: 'What's your hurry, Potter?' in GoF. He makes it sound as though he's cast a fishing line, hooked Harry and is reeling him in. Just from four words. I love him for this.
Isn't it great that we can amuse ourselves during the drought?
