Comments: It's great to know that, Hikity, thanks! Take your time to rest and organize your thoughts, I'm sure you have so much to share that won't be easy to know where to start. BTW... Who said I'm a grumpy git??? *followed by the usual string of very well known curses*Sorry, can't avoid to use this at the slightest hint... I just adore it!!![]()
Comments: I know it's late. I am back home and tried to find someone in the chatroom (hubby has been sleeping for a while but I can't....) Now I go to bed. I don't know how to put all this into words what Dee and I experienced in London. Good grief, Alan is such a normal, decent person, just wonderful, thank God !!!!
Comments: It's good to have you back, Alfan! Vicky have told us about your encounter and HP adventure together too. Thanks for sharing the rest of the story! The AR's related anecdote is very nice, great you stayed on that hotel and took a look on the shooting place of some scenes of "Galaxy Quest." I'm glad you have such a wonderful time on your vacations! ![]()
Comments:
Ladies, time for Teh Boom Boom Room again
Comments: Alfan: Welcome back! Quote: "I studied compassion under Snape" I love it! Also, you've got mail
What is your location? Canada Comments: Well , I am back. ( did anyone even know i was gone for two weeks, hee hee). Anyways, I loved the new trailer and the new photo's ( well, new to me anyways) and i think the man possitivly hates wearing tight tie's around his neck, love the relaxed pictures. Snowcake is definitly going to be on my "have to see, have to buy DVD" list. I never thought i would see Alan on a trampolene but whaaalaa, there it is.
I had a great holiday and it started off with an Alan connection. Keith and I were driving through Colorado and into Utah and were suppose to stay at a place called Grand Junction but the day went by fast and we went on further to a place called Green River Utah. It was wonderful. so picturesque. It reminded me of the scenery in Galaxy Quest when they said they were filming in Utah. So on we went to a hotel ( one of many) and i saw a postcard that said Goblin Vally. So i said " oh this is Goblin Vally, i heard they filmed Galaxy Quest here" the clerk said " yah, they did and all the cast stayed here in this hotel" I said " everyone" and she said " yes, Tim Allen, Sigourny Weaver, Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell and all the others. We then went on to the restaraunt next door and weeellll, i just had to ask if she worked while the filming went on and she said " yah, the restaraunt had to open up early so the cast ( including Alan) could have breakfast before the filming started during the hotest part of the day". She said they were all very kind, there was always alote of laughter from thier tables and were big tippers. So that was exciting in itself, the closest I will ever have to a real Alan encounter is staying in the same hotel and eating at the same restaraunt he did.......sad, isnt it.
I want to take this time to send a special Thank You to Vicki. She was so sweet to pick me up and drag my "dizzy ass" all over the place. I will never look at Lucius Malfoy the same way, man what a snazzy dresser, hot hot hot. The Harry Potter display at the WB studios was great, hmmm, lets see if i can add to what Vicki said. Besides Hagrid's outfit ( yes he really is that huge) Malfoy and Weasley's outfits there was also the flying motercylce, Dobby, Hermione's petrified body ( with an actual cut that Emma had on her finger), dementor, one of Aragog's spiders ( that was huge too), there Quidditch outfits of both Harry and Draco, there was the sorting hat ( I am a Gryffindor), there was the basalisk fang and the Tom Riddle's diary, money from Gringotts, candy from the candy store Honeydukes. There were other things too but i cant remember them all. When we were done there we went to Whimsical Alley and i bought a t-shirt that says " Muggle" on it and i bought Bertie Botts every flavored Jelly Beans ( and they mean every flavor, had myself a Rotten Egg one while the 12 year old boy had a vomit and grass together, eww), I also bought Dragons eggs, dementor kisses and a couple of buttons " I love Snape", and "I studied compassion under Snape" button. It was a grand time. Again, thanks Vicki.
But now im back to reality and back to what i missed so much, looking at new pictures and clips of Alan. Whooo. Good to be back.
Comments: Hikity, welcome back! I read about your glorious deed on Dee's LJ, this part "...he spoke directly to her during his answer" deserves a whole and detailed report. Pleeeaseeeeeee!!! He looked at you!! How did you managed to keep conscious?? Oh Jan, that was such an ordeal, a truly nightmare... but I did it at last! My first attempt failed miserably after a long time waiting, don't know what happened but the seventy-something percent it had reached decided to leave on vacations somewhere and had to begin all over again. I saw the trailer near midnight or past it, this connection really sucks!! Anyway, it was worth while! Nice Sunday to everybody!

I think I was one of the ones talking about GQ Cool. I also bought the book recently, and am so thrilled to own the 'hair' photo. It allowed me to scan it at a high resolution and create this wallpaper:
Enjoy!
What is your location? Pittsburgh Comments: Hi everybody! I just wanted to pop in very quickly and express my graditude! A few weeks ago we were discussing a book called GQ Cool. I happened to take a look at it on Amazon and was able to purchase the hardback version for only $2.67! It just arrived yesterday and it was a wonderful book, full of beautiful photography. So thank you to who ever it was who first brought up the subject! You have filled my room with photos or beautiful men
Comments: Hello Claudia, it's good to see you are alright! Dear Hikity, have a wonderful time! ![]() Hope one of your questions or Dee's is selected for the Q&A thing. I suppose that would be the best of chances, during that thingy, to get them (AR, MD, KV) to look directly or give some kind of acknowledgement to the authors of the questions. One can only hope, so I'm crossing my fingers on your behalf, ladies! Btw, I've been lurking in Dee's journal, that woman is my hero! It's so funny! ![]() Dee, for everyone!
What is your location? GA Comments: I'm sorry I haven't been here with yall...its just not been my lucky last few weeks.
Pop over to the main book and see the new pics!
I'll write a long meaty post for here as soon as I can get caught up with what's been going on.
Comments: Thanks Laura, bye bye everybody, CU on Monday....
Comments: Hikity, have a safe trip, I wish you much fun !!!

Just wanted to let you know that Dee has received the information that I sent, and is submitting her question. I am glad she got it.
Comments: Hikity: Banana Republic
Comments: Ok, Catsplay, but more important are questions now. Please post as many here as possible - I collect them and then select three or four ( or more?) which I would send to Terri by tomorrow 3 p.m.
Comments: Hikity
Thanks. I have emailed it to Dee just to be sure, but in case she cannot access email, I am going to fax it to her hotel, to her attention.
Comments: Quote: PLEASE NOTE: The use of cameras and/or recording equipment will not be permitted either during the performance or the post-show Q&A. And, on this occasion, members of the Rachel Corrie team will not be available to sign autographs. Bad people, bad! ![]() Wow, Hikity, I'm beginning to feel nervous and I'm not even going! Wish you and Dee the best of lucks and loads of fun there! ![]() (Have lost fonts and smileys already, hope the ones I remember would appear.)
Comments: Catsplay, if Dee reads her mails (she must have access to the internet then) she will have received the same mail, as it was for all of us who had bought tickets via WOS. Here is the full text and I am a bit sad about Terris last sentences...I am quite sure you are all interested in it:
Hello all
It's almost time for our Whatsonstage.com Outing to My Name Is Rachel Corrie at the West End’s Playhouse Theatre. The Outing is this coming Friday 28 April 2006 (performance starts promptly at 8.00pm).
Full details of your evening's entertainment follow. Please note **asterisked** sections, in particular about the post-show Question and Answer session with Alan Rickman and other members of the Rachel Corrie team. If you want to ask questions, you will need to send these through in advance!
************************************************** *************
YOUR HOSTS, WHEN & WHERE TO MEET
The evening will be hosted by the Whatsonstage.com team, including Caroline Ansdell, Josephine Peart, Graham Savage and myself (Terri). From 7.15pm, we’ll have a special area set up in the foyer of the Playhouse Theatre, Northumberland Avenue, London WC2N 5DN (closest Tube: Embankment / Charing Cross).
You'll recognise us by our lovely Whatsonstage.com t-shirts and our WOS signs. If you have any problems on the day, you can call the office on 020 7907 7043 before 6.00pm. After that, you can try us on our mobiles – mine is 07754 687067, Caroline’s is 07748 603 841.
We kindly request that you collect your tickets - as well as your WOS stickers (see below) - by at least FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE BEGINS. Please don't be late. If for some unavoidable reason you are, check with the theatre staff at the box office where your tickets will be left for you in your name; however, ** LATECOMERS MAY NOT BE ADMITTED. **
On all of our Outings, your WOS sticker gains you entry into our exclusive post-show activities, in this case our Q&A session. However, if you want to wear it proudly all night, please do! Better yet, why not say hello to others wearing their stickers? One of the main benefits of our events is the opportunity to meet other like-minded theatregoers, so don’t be shy!
************************************************** *************
OUR SEATS & RUNNING TIME
Our allocation is for top-price seats in the Stalls and Dress Circle. Seats are assigned according to order of booking, bearing in mind specific (by need) requests and individual party sizes (ie, if you’ve booked more than one seat, we’ve ensured wherever possible that all your seats are together).
The estimated running time for My Name Is Rachel Corrie is 90 minutes, without an interval. It lets out at approximately 9.30pm.
************************************************** *************
OUR EXCLUSIVE POST-SHOW Q&A
We are pleased to have the following members of the My Name Is Rachel Corrie team confirmed to attend on Friday night: Alan Rickman (adaptor and director), Katharine Viner (co-adaptor), Megan Dodds (actor) and, as a bonus, Elyse Dodgson, associate director and head of international at the Royal Court, where the play premiered last year. (***As with all live events, attendance of specific individuals cannot be 100% guaranteed.)
** For this Q&A, we will not be able to take questions directly from the floor. However, you can give any questions you’d like asked to us. Please email these to me by Friday morning – terri@whatsonstage.com , marking the subject line “Rachel Corrie Q&A” – or write them down and hand them to Whatsonstage.com staff on arrival at the theatre. IF YOUR QUESTION IS READ OUT, YOU’LL WIN A FREE COPY OF THE RACHEL CORRIE PLAYTEXT!! **
After the curtain call, please remain in your seats for a moment while the rest of the house clears, then move forward to the front of the Stalls. You will need to display your WOS sticker for attendance at the post-show Q&A.
PLEASE NOTE: The use of cameras and/or recording equipment will not be permitted either during the performance or the post-show Q&A. And, on this occasion, members of the Rachel Corrie team will not be available to sign autographs.
We look forward to seeing you all on Friday. Many thanks again for your interest and for using Whatsonstage.com!

Dee is already in London and I think we should try and get word to her about having to submit the questions in advance. Can you email her (I assume you have her email) and let her know where to send her question? Or, we can post it on her LJ as a comment, which I'm sure she will eventually see. I have not received an email from her, although she did post to her blog enroute yesterday.
Comments: Here is what I just received from WOS: If you want to ask questions, you will need to send these through in advance! This is clearly a safety method, but questions pop up in my mind while listening...bäääääääh Now you have your chance ladies: come up with a question!!!! And let me know very very soon
Comments: Thank you very much for all your good wishes! I am flying out tomorrow evening so I still have time to iron, pack, buy and read your mails and posts... The "truth" about Dee? I can tell you she must be one of the nicest persons in this world, so don't you worry. Go and read her latest entry on her Lj!
Yes, Puddingdale, the O-shop, huhuhu (that is a very good one, dear), I am sure we are going there and take pics and then the shop assistent or owner of the "Wallfahrtsort" will be startled, thinking what the h*** is going on here??? Loads of fine women come in here and take photos of bananas. England, the new banana republic... Oh, ladies, I am soooooo excited now
Comments: Hikity, have a safe and enjoyable trip. You can tell us the truth about Dee and vice versa

Hikity, ich wünsche dir einen guten Flug und ganz ganz ganz viel Spaß in London!!! Grüß AR von uns allen
Comments: Hikity~ Safe trip yo!
Comments: Have a great, safe flight, Hikity & Dee, and a wonderful time in England!
Comments: Nahima, what a chore!!!! I vividly remember my three years living in Khartoum, Sudan. There was this lovely "Habub" season, the "sandstorm time" and you cannot imagine how the house looked like afterwards... (windows are not fixed to European standards, haha). My white Berber carpet dissappeared under a red-brown cover, the sand was just EVERYWHERE and didn't stop at us - in my ears, nose, mouth, hair...BUT it never rained these three years, too - it was always warm, sometimes quite hot, but no humidity, and I loved this country and its people to pieces.
Count down, ladies, tomorrow evening I am flying over to Good Old England
Comments: Oh yes Chris, every year we have to go through this tricky season. Even though we've been absolutely lucky during the last years, the wisest choice is to be ready and on guard. Thanks for the glue! Which dvds? In the worst scenario I'll use it on my own butt! ![]() Emma Thompson is left-handed? That's cool! I am too. No wonder I would have preferred AR to be... *sob* Beth! Hope you look this, I want to ask you who Eduardo Flores is? An actor, producer or what? Btw, thanks again for the links! (Sorry for being such nuisance.) ![]()
Comments: PS: Hurricane season? Yaycks! Is it really THAT serious down there? *shivers at the thought and sends Nahima a huge virtual umbrella and some glue to stick her AE DVDs to the ground*
Comments: Nahima, if it makes you feel any better, know that Emma Thompson is left-handed.
Comments: Wicked Chris, it's nice to "see" you again! ![]() I got what you said about "vacation days", here is aproaching the hurricane season and I have to spend my summertime taking the yearly measures and cleaning the house and the sorroundings, just in case. Awful. Rattlesnakes, Jan? You did choose the best option... Run! I mean, that advice they gave Sam sounds too risky, what if one heard the snake too late to avoid its bite? It is not like a great advantage after all. ![]() Hey, Beth put more links to the "new" piccies. I think she unwatermarked them! Thanks again, Beth! Btw, I don't know why but I used to think that AR was left-handed. I was wrong, isn't it? ![]()
Comments: CatsPlay - Here I am, ready to serve!
Hey guys, the willy, ups, I meant the Willy thing`s old news by now! We`ve been musing over it, I mean THAT, ahem, in the chatroom for weeks!
Dee, knock`em down! Have a safe journey!
Comments: Hello! For those who is interested at least a bit in Rima Horton I have got some news. Just check the link I will post now and you will see that Rima should be elected again. It would be her 2nd election, the first was in 2002. I am worried about her, actually. The election should be held on the 4th May. She is Saint Charles Ward ,by the way. http://www.rbkc.gov.uk/YourCouncil/LocalDemocracy/le_st_charles.asp With regards, Yulia
Comments: Ah! Viennese Sausages! I get it. Teeny tiny little guys. Mom and Dad used to get canned ones when I was a kid. I never liked them very much. (I visited Babel Fish)
What is your location? Verification Code limbo waiting for Ode to the Code Comments: darkzorro: Don't worry, we're not upset, only extremely curious! But the mumbling nonsense and vacant expression sounds promising!!!
Hikity: Quote: wiener would mean "wiener würstchen"
Nahima: My husband and I were in Arizona one winter and we applied for jobs at a trailer park - he in maintenance and me at the desk. They were showing us around and told me to watch out for scorpions in cupboards and said to hubby: "You'll just have to watch out for the rattlesnakes - but that's no problem - you can hear 'em." Ha! Hubby's mostly deaf! That was the end of that idea. But he has relatives that live there and have rarely seen either a rattlesnake or a scorpion.
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Thanks for the concern from all about the spider bite. All seems fine. Just a tiny but swollen and it is not hurting any more. Embarassingly, I figured out that one of the two 'welts' that I described was actually a scar from where I had a mole removed a few years ago. So, there was really just one welt, with the little puncture in it.
Thanks for all of the advice! I will still watch it, of course, just in case.
Comments: Hikity, I'm glad you liked the dolls! I followed Dee's description (see quote) and it was fun searching for them. ![]() Quote: darkzorro93 said: ...when she came back she just kept on mumbling nonsense~~~with an idiot expression right like this *_* What?!?!? Was it THAT HOT??? Hope you're allright, CatsPlay! Even though I've never been bitten by any kind of bug, we have here plenty of them. Mostly inofensive, but there are also centipedes, scorpions, spiders (don't know their trademarks, the dangerous ones are angry & haired) and bees/wasps. ![]()
Comments: darkzorro, never mind, SC will come soon in our cinemas... Jan, willi is fine, but wiener would mean "wiener würstchen" of course, and that implies are very tiny willi I am not so fond of, hahaha
Comments: Hi girls,
Have never spoken anything here before~~Jan, I just saw u shouting outside on the GB.~HOHO~
It's unexpected that the !@#$%^ parts would be so upsetting. I am afraid I will let you down, at leat at the moment. My friend, you know, when she came back she just kept on mumbling nonsense~~~with an idiot expression right like this *_* (why i cannot use smily here?)
What is your location? Not in my extremely spidery crawl space. Yuk! Comments: The only 2 really bad spiders we have here are the brown recluse (the venom rots the flesh) and the black widow (can be fatal). They'd be unusual but not unheard of where you are CatsPlay but they both like basements. It's probably not either - just be sure you act quickly if it seems to get worse at all.
I didn't know "willi" was used in Germany, Hikity! I just knew it as British. Here it's more likely to be "wiener", "weenie", Peter (known by two of us as "Mr. Pan"), and on and on . . . oh, the names we can think up for things just to avoid calling them what they are, eh?
Comments: Nahima, thanks very much - many kotaus - for this lovely pic of Dee and me. How did you know how we look like?? I am really astonished about the accuracy of myself (twenty years ago, hahaha)
Catsplay, except for these terrible camel spiders in Arabia (they eat the flesh, huhuhu, but I have never encountered one 2 years in the dessert) I have never heard about spider bites... but better take Jan's advice and see a doctor if you are not familiar with it. Hope it's gone by now. Nightynight everybody
Comments: Quote: A short blond and a tall redhead on a mission - an unstoppable, irresistible combination! ![]() ![]() Hikity & Dee Watch out AR! You are their target! ![]() I wish with all my heart that your mission ends succesfully, dear hens, with kiss included! Thank you Jan for the "willi" explanation. I swear have not heard that phrase before, Hikity! ![]() Of course, it would not serve for my laughing purposes. My "macho" cousin is going to be delighted with such name, absolutely proud of it. Chris, don't worry, I heard nothing and couldn't see you at all... as a matter of fact, I'm not here either. *naked bed scenes?* (This is not me.)Related with "Dark Harbor" scenes, I think that the diving one is him. I've just seen screencaptures but have read somewhere the director's commentary about it, it was as CatsPlay said. However, I have my doubts with the other scene, the "butt" one, I don't know but I have this feeling that it is not Teh Butt. It is something with the shoulders, the hair, I feel that it is another man in that one. Of course, it's just a "feeling". Hey, this is a good question for the Q & A session! "Mr R, would you please tell us if it was your butt what we saw in "Dark Harbor"? We trust your word but if you can give us a definitive proof, we'll be very much appreciated. Thanks." ![]() Sometimes those things provoke alergic reactions. Do you have "benadryl"? (I'm not sure it is well written) You know, I got this other "feeling" that Snow Cake would not follow the Gissing route. ![]() (eeer, my so-called "feelings" are as the weather pronostic, probability = 50%, like no pronostic at all.) ![]() I do want to know more about the naked... I mean, the whole movie! Dark_zorro, help!
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Laura,
Hmmm. I definitely felt the moment it happened, I think, as it was a sharp piercing little pain as I walked up the steps. Confused.
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Yipes! Well, it doesn't really look very bad. It's not swelling much more than it did in the initial few minutes. But I can still feel it hurting. I will keep a close eye on this. Gosh, don't know what to do now.
What is your location? NW PA USA Comments: CatsPlay: You had better get that checked out - especially if you have health insurance! A relative of my husband's was bitten by a brown recluse spider when she was young at Sea World and because the hospital in Greenville didn't know what to do, when they finally sent her to Pgh, they had to amputate her arm.
Not to scare you . . . that was several days to a week that they did nothing . . . but why take a chance???? It's probably just a bad bite, but . . .
Comments: CatsPlay , I know nothing of spiders but my husband loves them and knows a lot, he always said that you can't feel a spider's puncture, you notice later that it's a red big spot...I was biten from spiders a couple of times and I've got an arm like shwarzenegger, a few pain and itch.I put there a lotion/cream(??)...the same you use for mosquitos, if it gets bad you can ask your doctor for a stronger cream (??) with cortisone, sorry for lack of correct words
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: OMG - I think I just got bitten by a spider or something in my basement. I was standing there looking through the laundry basket, and as I started to walk back up the steps I felt a sharp pain in my leg, behind my knee, near the crease.
It continued to hurt (still is!) and I see two welts, each aboud 1/4 inch by 1/8 each, parallel to each other, and one of othem has a red puncture mark in the center!
WTF!!???
I saw no spider or other creature (although I have seen a few spiders recently down there). I can't believe it is still hurting!
Should I be worried?? It doesn't seem to be swelling to gigantic proportions or anything.
Jeesh!
ps. Chris, where are you, dearie???
What is your location? NW PA USA Comments: Oh, yes, CatsPlay, I forgot about the directors commentary - I've never watched it yet. Gotta do that! I was pretty sure they were both him and certainly if he's willing to do a full frontal, even from that distance, he would do a rear shot . . . .
I understand what you're saying about knowing about it and knowing you missed it. The reviews didn't seem all that great at Berlin, but not terrible, either.
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Jan
As per the director's commentary on DH, that was AR who did the dive scene. The director spoke about AR doing it during the commentary - saying how horribly cold the water was and that they had to wrap him immediately in warm towels each time he came out. I'd have to go back and listen to see if he comments during the 'butt' scene, but for that reason I've always assumed that was him as well.
Hmm. I'd definitely like to hear more specific details about this Snow Cake scene. But then in a way, I almost don't, because if for some reason this film goes the Gissing route I could never bear to know that I'd had to miss it!
What is your location? NW PA USA Comments: Usually, in his bed scenes, he is covered by a sheet up to his waist, and most likely this will be the same. Maybe darkzorro knows more detail. Certainly it would be no more than an R rating.
In your opinion, in Dark Harbor, was that him or a body double - in either the diving scene or the walking up the steps scene. Someone asked me a question about the scene and I looked up a screen cap of it and realized that in the diving part he's so far away you can't see for sure if it's actually him or just someone who's about the same build, etc. Personally, I think it's all him . . . just a feeling that, having decided to do the scene, he would want it to be honest. But . . . maybe not.
But a bedroom scene is different - a lot more detail to be seen.
Comments: I agree, Hikity, it would be great but I doubt to see him naked...maybe we'll get to understand that he is naked, without really seeing it...if my words make sense
Comments: true, true, yesterday I had to keep my computer busy with Eminem and rap songs the whole afternoon! At evening I gave to my poor computer some relief feeding it with AR pics and surfing a few sites devotes to him, lol....it feels better now BTW a new teenagers attack is coming....let's get ready!!
another attempt with the code
Comments: Well, Chris and Nahima and Laura et al, there might be a naked bed but I doubt we see Him naked. It would be very astonishing - but I wouldn't mind AT ALL Nahima, obviously not only do Germans speak about "a man and his Willi" but the English speaking world, too. I hope, you understand this now, otherwise send my an e-mail and I can explain it to you in more detail, rofl
Teh Code - an ode sorry, not yet finished...
Comments: No need to appologize, Laura!
Comments: Thank you Jan and darkzorro, I'm sorry, I didn't have time to read a lot, just to check images, thank you
Comments: Laura: darkzorro93 reported that someone she knows saw Snow Cake at the film festival in Hong Kong (was it?) and that there's a naked bed scene with AR!!!
Comments: ...naked bed scene..... WHERE?
Comments: *with a decent stiffy tone* Hello ladies, may i just interrupt this wonderful session by saying.............*dramatical pause* ..............NAKED BED SCENES?!?!?! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem.Did you hear anything? That wasn`t me. I`m not even here.
Comments: Here to wish Dee a very beautiful trip to London
Comments: Oops! I keep forgetting who I am now!
Comments: Nahima: "Willy" is what the British call a "pene" . . . if Babel Fish is correct, that is. Got it?
Comments: Vicky, you and Alfan seem to have enjoyed a lovely encounter. Thanks for sharing it with us! ![]() Yeah Peekabooh, AR is the perfect excuse to make new friends and get together with them. Also he is helping to increase the english speakers among the world! Well, at least in my case, never before did the effort to improve my english until I reencountered AR as Snape in the HP movies. Of course, this "improvement" has its flaws... ![]() Hikity & Laura, shame on me, I don't get the "Willy" joke and neither my dictionary nor Altavista Babel thingy want to help me. Please, somebody tell me. I have a cousin with that name and it would be great to have something to laugh at him! ![]() Jan, I love your change of name! ARdent Jan sounds marvelous! Have a nice weekend, people! ![]()
What is your location? warm here - come and join me on our terrace Comments: Hi there, Peek, what a pity there was no Warner Brothers Museum in Xanten, hmm, only an I-don't-know-how-many-hundred-years-old mill, but we enjoyed it, too, right, and it was a sunny day in every respect. (I must be obsessed with sunny weather lately...)
P.S. OMG, teh Code becomes quite a chore P.P.S. error, error, error, error, grrrrr
Comments: Hikity, thank you for the big laughs, I didn't pay attention to that phrase Peekabooh, got your email! Vicki and A., I bet it is much fun meeting other AR fans, especially when you "know" them reading their posts...it would be great to meet many of you!
Comments: Hi Vicki, thanks for sharing your story about your "close encounter" with Alfan. Sounds like the two of you had loads of fun. Last month I met with Hikity and we both enjoyed it very much. Isn´t it amazing how AR brings us all together?
What is your location? Los Angeles Comments: Hello, all! I have just spent an enjoyable day with one of our GB members. Alfan from Canada is out here visiting and we met for the first time and had a great time talking "Alan" talk all day. We went on the Warner Brothers tour and saw the Harry Potter exhibit in the museum. We saw the Ford Anglia, many of the original costumes worn by the cast (sadly, nothing from Snape), various props and production sketches from the films. We even got sorted by the sorting hat. She was sorted into Gryffindor and I am a Slytherin (wooo-hooooo!)
Interestingly, they only allow small groups of people into the exhibit and then docents follow closely behind you watching your every move. They must have had a problem with people trying to touch things or take items when they thought no one was looking. They also were very strict about NO CAMERAS. So we don't have any pictures of the HP stuff to share with you. This was a great exhibit and well worth the time. I was really impressed with how elaborate the costumes were. Especially Lucius Malfoy's and Arthur Weasley's. They also had Hagrid's coat and boots. Man, Hagrid is huge!
After that, we went to lunch and traveled to Whimsically Alley a Harry Potter store in Santa Monica. We had lots of silly fun playing with all the wizard things. You would have thought both of us were 10 years old.
From there we traveled on to the Third Street Promenade to shop and walked to the cliffs that overlook PCH and the beach and watched the fog roll in.
I don't want to steal Alfan's thunder so I'll let her give a more detailed account of our day of fun. She still has another week of vacation so she won't be back on the GB until next week. It was great to meet someone from the GB and be able to talk to another person who's as obsessed with Alan as I am and not feel like a weirdo. You know, I've lived here all my life but would have never gone to these places on my own. So, thanks, Alfan!! Hope the rest of the trip is as much fun!
What is your location? NW PA USA Comments: Thanks for the unwatermarked version of that picture, Perfect Lurker. It is beautiful. Doesn't it make you wonder how many more of them might exist that we might run into in the future?
Dee: I loved your list!
Comments: Marlina, thanks for your good wishes and esp. for your link about VG: I quote the best of it here (Puddingdale.....!!!): Yikes. Is any man on earth less fitted to the name "Willy" than Rickman?
I am laughing and laughing about it I can't help it, sorry ladies
Comments: Cats, I ordered it from Nick Hern books just after you put up the link the first time. So it must have been a couple of weeks (2?) from now. Still I haven´t received anything yet... *puzzled*
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Peek,
Where did you order the script from? I had pre-ordered it from Amazon and got tired of waiting after months, and then ordered from Nick Hern Books (the UK publisher) and it arrived promptly.

Comments: Ohhhh and a big THANK YOU to Jan for the discovery of the new picture and to Perfect Lurker to unwatermark it.
Comments: Laura dearest, I sent you an email. All; is it just me or am I the only one who ordered the MNiRC script, paid for it and didn´t receive anything up till now??? Thanks in advance for answering this question.
What is your location? Cow Land What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.tarf.org/forum/index.php Comments: Hi, all! Many thanks to Ardent (Jan), Purrfect Lurker, Marlina, CatsPlay, and anyone else I have missed (I'm sure I've missed SOMEone!) for the new pic, the charity auction news, and links!
And thanks to everyone else for the laughs and enjoyment I've gotten from reading this GB!
Comments: Oh yes, everything is OK now Claudia! ![]() The curse was lifted while I was writing here so I didn't notice at the moment. ![]()
What is your location? GA Comments: Nahima, the curse should be lifted off the main book. Let me know if you still have problems.
Comments: The main GB is still cursed, however I could post there using Opera. Netscape simply doesn't work with so many windows, it can't manage them and that provoke it a nervous breakdown. Awful. Wow, thanks Purrfect Lurker for cleaning the piccie for us! ![]() Chris, after yesterday chaos with the zillion popup windows now "Da Code" is my friend! ![]() Dee, your list is perfect! I knew I liked that piccie for very good reasons. ![]() I'm a chicken but my mother hen has prohibited me to enter in any kind of voodoo thingy, she has told me it could be unhealthy and a little risky so I prefer to pass. I trust my Mum with all my chicken soul. ![]() Thanks Marlina, for the link! I've never seen a picture of AR wearing a hat, I'll be expecting that piccie now! Could it be a baseball cap? I know... ![]() Me the liar!!! I just remember it!! We've seen AR wearing a cowboy hat!! How can I forget about it? Yes, the animated thingys link somebody (Chalebh?) put on the main GB some time ago (the flower AR, the disco AR, remember?). ![]() Now the curiosity is killing me!! What kind of hat would AR send? ![]()
What is your location? GA Comments: The main board is now back up. We had a nasty little script writer attack but he's/she's been taken care of now.
Sorry for all the inconvenience.
Comments: Thank you Sabine and Claudia ...and Jan...that pic is amazing, ehehhe, can't stop to look at it!
What is your location? GA Comments: Sorry ladies. I've been away but I'm working on the main guest book. The problem is on the guest book side so don't adjust your screens or anything like that. I hope to have it back up soon.
What is your location? GA Comments: Laura - I just checked, and the GB is still not working. I'm wondering though if it's an issue with explorer because when I use Firefox it opens just fine. I do get pop ups from Firefox though about the script, but when I click "ok" it goes away and the GB opens. Hope this helps!
Comments: Jan, beautiful, fantastic wonderful photo!!!!!
does anyone know if the main GB is working without the intel.com opening 1000 windows?

AR doesn't seem to be a hat person. I will be curious to see what kind he donates!

Dee *snort*, Hikity and Linda, thanks a lot, voodoo or no voodoo, it seemed to have helped. At least it stopped raining. WHOA! I just tried opening the maing GB and it opened (I am NOT sh****g* you!) 100 tabs! My browser couldn` take it so it died. *mournful tune in th background* Well at least i`m not the only one! Pheow! Sorry i couldn` get into the chatroom last night, I was out shopping and got caught up in traffic. Hmm...is it me or does this sound like one of those pathetic marriage explanations? I'll go outside tonight and see what I can do. Does anyone on the hen network happen to have a chicken I can use...? *snort* Ardent - Lovely photo! I've never seen it before either. Hmmm...let's go thru the AR check list and see how this photo rates: 1) View of teh hands? Check! Extra points for both hands! Double points for rare peek at the soft, kissable palm! 2) Leatherband watch in sight? Check! Extra points for prominate display! 3) Suit? Check! The organic bananas are on my agenda too! *shaking head* We are all soooooooo weird.........! No, I haven't left for London yet. I'm leaving April 25 and return May 3. I plan to take my laptop to keep a journal and check in occassionally.
What is your location? the northwest Comments: Glad to see others are having trouble with GB, I thought it was me. Ardent (Jan) thanks for that lovely picture of AR. He is so adorable, isn't he? Dumpy Doris, you are so right that this place over here is so relaxed. I read on the other GB (suzannes) how you invited everyone over here. That was so nice of you. A few years ago, as you recall there were a bunch of people with very strong views, especially on the Downtime Bar. I am so glad to see that is over. Have a good one all. Off to watch the Chronicles of Narnia. I love that movie. All it needs to make it better is a role by our Alan!
Comments: Here is the alternative version of that photo. I also removed the chandelier that was lurking above his head.
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Jan -- WOW! Thank you -- that is worthy of unwatermarking. I will see if I can get my lurking friend to help out with that! *snort*
Comments: That was new to me too, Jan, thanks! The thing that is going on on the other GB is still there, I've just tried to take a look and failed again. It's a popup curse, definitely. ![]() I prefer "Da Code" after all. Once I did break it at first try, well, it happened just once but it was an unforgettable moment. ![]() ![]()
What is your location? NW PA USA Comments: Well, I'm not going to try it again yet! I wonder if websitetoolbox decided it would be nice to have a popup ad and something's wrong with it????
Anyway, I found this and I haven't seen it before. Feast your eyes:
Here's the text that goes with it: Image #57325443 Title: Cambridge Jones Portraits - Alan Rickman Caption:
Nahima: that code error thing has nothing to do with whether you typed it in right, very often! No doubt about that. I had to do one on the GB this morning 3 times. And this time I got it right - it was very obvious, but I still got an error.
Comments: It happened to me too, Jan & CatsPlay! ![]() What a fright, I thought my PC had got a virus. Could it be the revenge of the spammers? ![]() Probably "Da Code" is fighting for its life right now. ![]() (I've told you before, I'm a chicken.) ![]() Grrr... no matter it could be at war, "Da Code" here is relentless. Come on, thing, give me a break! It is jq44d, I'm absolutely sure!!!
What is your location? NW PA USA Comments: CatsPlay: I just tried 3 different times. Each time I got endless windows with Intel Business ads of some kind. They kept coming up until the system resources were all used up and I had to use ctrl/alt/del to shut down the main browser. Once it completely locked up and I had to turn it off and back on again.
What is the URL of your HomePage? (include "http://") http://www.rickman247.com Comments: Has anyone been able to get into the main GB page? I went there about an hour ago and my browser started going crazy with this loud 'clicking' sound and then I had to crash my browser to be able to continue.
I'm going to avoid going back until the situation is resolved. Anyone else experience this??
Comments: Hikity, you will manage the "real" exam as well. Go girl! The sudden sunshine in our country of rain and darkness sure is a good omen. And we will all be standing by you Gosh, I am certainly glad I am through with all my exams. Strange that I still do not have more time *lol*
