Canada Comments: First of all, im sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys but i want to thank Pam, Miriam, Nicky, Claudia, Hikity, Carolyn, Vicki and Peek ( sorry if i forgot somwone, wich like the wedding thank you's i probably did). Your kind words touch me and i cant believe its over, im a married woman about to embark on one hell of a life adventure but firts im going on a honeymoon. We leave next Thurs but no worries, we have a lap top and wont be far from my computer home. Again, thank you all, its was wonderful.

Did you guys hear over at Suzannes GB that the film Gissing is going to be released on DVD in a couple of weeks? If you go there, (the GB that is) Sheena gave a link to Mike Binders myspace page. What is your location? the Netherlands Comments: Hello, here I am again, To Peekabooh, Vicky and Hikity (hope I didn't leave out anyone), thanks for your encouragement. I really WANT to do it. But I still have to convince my hubby.... ahem. As soon as I will start my study... I will let you know. But I am very happy with your encouragement (Alan would have done the same, wouldn't he?) Vicky, thanks for remembering my son Thomas. I am sure he will be fine for he is a person who quite enjoys everything. Tomorrow I will pick him up from school. He will be exhausted. Hey, you have something wonderful to look forward. I am sure you will enjoy your time there.... talking French and cooking. Wow, sounds great. Alfan. You do look so happy on that picture (no wonder, of course) and your husband looks like a very nice person. I was very amazed when I saw that wedding picture for you remind me so much of my sister-in-law (my brother's wife). And she is a very wonderful person, so this is a compliment. On July 7th until July 21th we (my family and I) are going to England (YES!!!) and of course we will visit London, too. But I am afraid, that there will be NO mr. Rickman, for I understand he will be filming in France or wherever. I don't really understand. I thought he was in France already, but now I read he was in Tblisi. Does anybody know about his coming projects? Oop, this part should be on the guestbook, I guess. I am sorry.

What is your location? Los Angeles Comments: Hikity - actually, I will be in Roanne (approximately 80 kms northwest of Lyon). Unfortunately I can only be gone for 11 days. 7 at the school in Roanne (at a Chateau built in 1700) and the remainder I will spend exploring Lyon and Paris before I depart.

But hey, did anyone notice that over on mugglenet they finally have some Snape layouts. One says Snape is with the Deatheaters and the other is Snape is with the Order,,,,,,,,,( mine says he is with the Order) but its a good layout......finally.

Comments: Vicki, a French cooking class in France is surely the best way to immerse into cultural language learning. Wonderful! Where are you going to? NICE or MONACO??
What is your location? Los Angeles Comments: Alfan!!!!! You look absolutely radiant!!!! And not a hint of brown anywhere (thank goodness). Keith looks extremely happy...I know you two have been looking forward to this for a long time. Fabulous photo! Hikity - thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm hoping that this latest incident with her car has opened her eyes. Having been without one for the past month she is now realizing what a privilege it was and she now has to work hard and save in order to replace it. (and since we live in L.A. you can't get very far without a car.) She is able to take the bus to school and work, but she can't just hop in a car now and go visit her friends, go shopping, or go out and party on the weekends unless she can catch a ride with someone else. Some lessons must be learned the hard way I suppose. Miriam - I hope your son enjoys his trip to Berlin. I know well how there is that extra concern when you have a special needs child. We've talked about that privately before. But what a wonderful learning experience for him. There was a time not so long ago that our kids (autistic) where not given that opportunity to participate in trips like these. I'm so happy for him! He'll have a great time. Regarding expanding your language skills, I must second what Hikity has said and say: Go for it!!! I, too, am taking the language plunge later this year. In September I will be going to France to take a language immersion course (as well as a cooking class!). I'm hoping to improve my rusty French that I acquired during my semester there.....many....many.....many years ago (28 year ago, to be exact  God, I suddenly feel so old!)

Canada Comments: Ok guys, here is me and my wonderful husband, there were 500 pics to choose from and i chose this one but i have to wait until the official photographer gives me hers as there is a special pic in there for this place. Anyways, there we are.  oh, by the way...im on the left.
Comments: Vicki and Carolyn, I'm sending you a quick but reassuring glance into the future and "be able" to foretell you that soon the time comes when parent-child-problems are solved and settled and everything is fine! I didn't believe it myself when this message was thrown on me during a hard time with my daughter, but, miraculously, all those "experts" were right  Miriam wrote: I'm just thinking (for a while) that I want to study English (Cambridge English - for the Certificate of Proficiency, but I have to do a correspondence course) and it is still... yes, no, shall I, shall I not? What is your location? Almelo, the Netherlands Comments: Alfan, I was thinking about you last Saturday and hope you had an unforgettable day. My hubby and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary that day. I wish you (again) all the best and a happy marriage. This week my son (14) went to Berlin with his school (hey, this name sounds familiar) and I hope he is enjoying himself. My son is autistic, but with the proper care he improved so well. I'm just thinking (for a while) that I want to study English (Cambridge English - for the Certificate of Proficiency, but I have to do a correspondence course) and it is still... yes, no, shall I, shall I not? But I love the English language and the funny thing is, that Alan, unknowingly, of course, is my great inspiration. It is because of him I realize I love languages, and English in particular. Isn't he the one who encourages people to develop their talents? Sorry for writing this. I hope I am not bothering you with my doubts. Just liked to share it with you. I understand that that is possible on this section of this very nice site. I visit every day and enjoy "Download Haven" very much, especially the Guestbook. It is so nice to read all your reactions. It doesn't matter where we are from, we all share the same thing, our admiration for a very talented person. Well, I better stop writing now. Hope you're all very well. Have a nice day. My cousin had a three month old baby with them and i thought i would hold little Max before i took off so i did, and gave him a hugg and a snuggle then handed him back to dad and as i did, little Max suddenly got a little browner...........so i think i dodged a bullit in my white wedding dress by seconds.......god was looking down on Saturday. Cousin Ben, little Max and a big stinky poop.  Once i get more pics, i will share some with you guys. And tell a few stories that go with them. Dont worry, not alote.

(*Hugs* to Keith) SnoKat, Pudd is right, James was indeed an animagus. He was a stag, hence the nickname "Prongs". That is why it was a surprise to Harry (and Lupin as well) that Harry's patronus ended up being a stag. It is probably also why Harry thought he saw his father across the lake in Prisoner of Azkaban, after learning from Lupin the forms that each of the marauders transformed into. I know, I check the HP board periodically.....we should continue any other HP stuff over there....we'll eventually get it up and active again (can't wait for the movie and book -- they're almost here!)

They all had learned how to change into animals in order to be able to assist Lupin and spend time with him when he was a wolf. Remember? Comments: Harry Potter Question!! And I'm asking it here because no one has been over at the HP message board for like two months! In today's paper there was an HP quiz. Now, I know LOTS of HP trivia. But they had a question that I think was wrong. It was "What was James Potter's Anamagous form?" James wasn't an Anamagous, was he? His Patronous was a stag, but he didn't change form himself did he? Sirius was, Wormtail was, and of course Lupin was a werewolf. This wasn't a trick question because there was no option of "He wasn't an Anamagous." Am I wrong??

We finally finished the church fair (I have been sorting/tagging and finally sold it all last weekend) and in the process of having someone come for the loeftover stuff.. The kids only have two more days of school and it is officially summer and outdoor gardening time for me. Canada Comments: You guys are the best --virtual shower, hee hee.I just got back from my softball tourny and no i didnt take any balls to the face or body parts, i didnt slide, dive or fall to scrape myself up and most important, i didnt break a nail, but i did pull a quadracept muscle but it will be ok by the wedding. Comments: Alf, having BTDT (a couple times now), the most important thing to me is to find a way to show or say every day that your partner is the most important thing in your life.
What is your location? Canada Comments: Thanks Hik, all little things like that are well taken. So the question i have for anyone, well not anyone but those in the area's that are about to be mention. Keith and i are driving through the Eastern US. Is there anything that you guys suggest i see. We are first of all driving through Chicago, then on to Pittsburgh (going to see the flight 93 memorial site in Shanksville). And then on to NY for three day. Then up through Boston to Old Orchid Beach Maine for a couple more days. Then up the coast of Maine into Canada. SO is there anything of interest that we should stop and see or make a beeline to to have a look at??? Open to all suggestions.
Comments: Alfan, lol, shortly before my wedding I went on a walk with my mother asking her very seriously how the hell I know it's the right man....my mother was speechless first, hihi, (quite late to ask such a question she thought), and then she said something along this: you can be happy with more than one man but you chose him and all will be o.k. How right she was! Boring Sunday, buuuh, I'm too lazy to prepare any lessons.

New York Comments: Ah, Alfan, what I could say could fill an encyclopedia...but for brevity's sake: Don't feel as if you have to "complete" each other: meaning that each of you on your own isn't whole. You're not getting married to be completed; you're gettiing married to enrich who you already are. Don't try and change each other. Accept one another as is, warts and all. Pick and choose your battles carefully. In the overall scheme of life, so much is not worth fighting over. Remember there will be another day, and things sometimes DO look better tomorrow. Always know that it's about the journey, not about the destination. Finally, remember WHY you married each other.
